Job summary

Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Platform Customer Consultant to partner with technical sales and act as the customer's primary technical advisor. You will lead technical conversations, troubleshoot roadblocks, and architect cross-pillar cloud solutions while identifying new workload opportunities and defining delivery plans.

You will travel up to 20% and fluency in French is required to support clients in Quebec.

The Google Cloud Platform team helps customers transform and build what's next for their business — all with technology built in the cloud. Our products are developed for security, reliability and scalability, running the full stack from infrastructure to applications to devices and hardware.

As a Platform Customer Consultant, you will partner with technical sales teams to showcase the value of Google Cloud to our customers. In this role, you will serve as the customer's primary technical partner and trusted advisor, engaging in technical conversations to understand business objectives. You will troubleshoot technical roadblocks, lead proofs of concept and demonstrations, and architect cross-pillar cloud solutions. Additionally, you will focus on identifying new workload opportunities, supporting security and penetration testing evaluations, and defining delivery and consumption plans while engaging technical and business leaders with practical, scalable solutions on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the technical account strategy, collaborating on account planning and supporting targeted go-to-market motions.
• Combine consultative, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to demonstrate the value of Google Cloud through complex demos, pilots, and in-depth workshops.
• Facilitate the post-sales transition by assisting with technical scoping and solution sizing, and handing off the delivery plan to implementation teams.
• Monitor progress against the delivery plan, providing guidance to cross-functional teams during ramp, delivery, migration, or implementation phases.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
• Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Ability to communicate in French fluently to support clients in Quebec.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering technical solutions across infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data management, data analytics, cloud AI, networking, migrations, or security.
• Experience supporting the technical lifecycle, including defining delivery and consumption plans and transitioning them for execution.
• Experience building long-term technical strategies to identify and scope new workloads with customers.
• Experience migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
• Experience with security concepts, such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.
• Experience working within the startup ecosystem, establishing technical partnerships, and building customer relationships.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; 10 years of experience with cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing role; fluency in French; experience presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders; experience in programming languages, systems design, debugging, and customer workshops.
