Job description

Marcon is seeking a Construction Customer Care Technician experienced with investigating and assessment of building issues, such as envelope, structural, electrical, mechanical, hvac and other warranty items as needed. The successful candidate will lead a team to resolve service and warranty items. Knowledge of the 2-5-10 BC New Home Warranty is an asset.

About The Role

  • Schedule and attend service appointments assigned by the CC Management Team
  • Maintain, update and close service files in a timely manner using Marcon’s online Customer Care Program
  • Perform related service work as required
  • Correspond and follow up with trades on service files as required
  • Complete and sign a Marcon Purchase Order for any purchases or trade work required (upon pre-approval by CC Management Team)
  • Maintain a daily log of time spent on activities for accurate data collection and billing
  • Complete detailed inspection reports for identified building common area issues
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of Marcon equipment and tools
  • Regular communication with the Customer Care Team to ensure prompt response to service files

About You

  • Considerable knowledge of residential wood frame and concrete construction
  • Skilled in the standard practices, methods, materials, and tools for carpentry, millwork, drywall, and painting
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade
  • Computer, internet, and knowledge of basic software applications required
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Professional and courteous engagement with customers and trades
  • Ability to lead, takes initiative
  • Team player, flexible and positive attitude
  • Quality workmanship and detail oriented
  • May be required to work O/T or weekends from time to time

The compensation range for this role is $35/hour to $45/hour, depending on candidate experience and qualifications.
