Job Title: Customer Applications Engineer

Location: C09 - Richview TS - 65 Kelfield Street, Rexdale, ON M9W 5A3

General Responsibilities:

  1. Develop proposals for advanced telecommunications services based on customer requests.
  2. Negotiate service level agreements, monitor service delivery, and ensure targets are met. Provide service pricing and related plans.
  3. Maintain information on existing services, projects, and initiatives; identify new service opportunities and develop business cases.
  4. Act as a project manager for service provision projects.
  5. Assist external customers by defining requirements, presenting solutions, and explaining standards, policies, and strategies. Support sales initiatives and campaigns.
  6. Provide tailored proposals and solutions to customers, ensuring clear communication of offerings and standards.
  7. Address and resolve customer complaints and feedback related to service delivery.
  8. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver customer solutions.
  9. Perform additional duties as required.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree
  2. Knowledge of computer science principles for analyzing and designing telecommunications and information management systems.
  3. Understanding of engineering and computer applications related to telecommunications equipment, digital computers, and database management systems.
  4. Knowledge of network protocols, data structures, and communication logic.
  5. Effective communication skills in English for internal and external interactions.
  6. Experience in telecommunications and information management within a carrier environment.
  7. Technical expertise with hardware, software, and network capabilities.
  8. Understanding of telecommunications components and systems.
  9. Extensive experience applying telecommunications methods to diverse customer needs.
  10. Marketing and problem-solving experience with a solid understanding of organizational requirements.
  11. 8-10 years of relevant experience.
