Job summary

A leading animal clinic in Mississauga seeks a passionate client care specialist to join their front desk team. This full-time position involves patient handling, customer service, and organizational tasks. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, previous animal care experience, and a secondary school education.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in animal care and customer service is an asset.
  • 1 year experience as Veterinary Assistant preferred.
  • 1 year experience in Front Desk / Reception preferred.

Southdown Animal Clinic is dedicated to providing excellent quality care with compassion and high standards of medicine & surgery. We are looking for a positive individual who is passionate about animals and works well with people. The individual must have good interpersonal and organizational skills.

This position will require weekday and some weekend shifts. The applicant can expect to work 30-40 hours / week.

We offer competitive pay for this full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities

The individual's core focus will be as a part of the front desk team as a client care specialist / receptionist. The team member will also be cross-trained on all aspects of patient handling & restraint, providing treatment, surgical prep, and hospital sanitation. This position is an integral part of the day-to-day functioning of the clinic.

Skills : Strong communication and organizational skills are required. The applicant must be able to work well as part of a team and have a can-do attitude.

Previous animal experience and customer service experience is an asset.

Education : Secondary School (OSSD)

Experience :

  • Veterinary Assistant : 1 year (preferred)
  • Front Desk / Reception : 1 year (preferred)
  • Customer Service : 1 year (preferred)
