Starting Salary Range: $55,600.00 - $66,700.00

Job Purpose

When you visit a Coast branch, you're greeted with a line of smiling faces ready to help you with your everyday banking needs. Our friendly Member Advice Specialists are sales and customer service superstars who bring our "How can we help you?" brand to life with every member they interact with. They assist members with basic personal credit needs, sell and handle Low Fee More for Me Mutual Funds, Term deposits, RRSPs, set up electronic services like internet banking, open free Chequing accounts, and add overdraft protection to help avoid NSF charges. They also identify sales opportunities and connect members with the right team members for further assistance.

This is a Ready-Now position, meaning training will be conducted at our Broadmead Branch (777 Royal Oak Dr Unit 150, Victoria, BC). Post-training, you will be assigned to your permanent branch within our Island locations, including branches in Greater Victoria, Peninsula, or mid-island regions.

Accountabilities

  • Deliver positive and unexpected customer experiences through retail banking
  • Engage customers in "Where You Are At Money Chat" to help improve their financial well-being
  • Work as a high-performing team member to ensure policies and regulatory requirements are met
  • Proactively offer helpful solutions and alternatives to customer inquiries
  • Achieve sales and referral targets in a needs-based sales environment

Skills & Qualifications

  • Certificate in Investment Funds in Canada is required.
  • Comfortable assisting customers with simple financial needs and promoting products
  • Minimum three years of experience in banking or credit union, preferably with lending and investments
  • Post-secondary education in finance, business administration, or related field, with a desire to continue learning
  • Enjoy building relationships and helping a diverse range of people
  • Strong teamwork and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
