What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a strong candidate to join our Sales Department as a Customer Account Manager . The ideal candidate will lead the account development and penetration strategy for assigned customers. They should be skilled at building and maintaining relationships and providing exceptional customer service.

This is not a cold-calling position . You’ll focus on maintaining current customer relationships and integrating new customers and their products into IMS. Full training will be provided. Previous experience in account management and electronics knowledge are preferred and considered strong assets.

Role Overview

Our Customer Account Manager plays a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. Successful Customer Account Managers are proactive, empathetic, and excellent communicators who focus on building trust and delivering value, while also meeting organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent and communicate customer needs, expectations, and feedback to internal teams
  • Ensure proper planning, purchasing, and production build deadlines are met
  • Manage day-to-day customer communication and ongoing relationships
  • Handle customer complaints and disputes diplomatically and efficiently
  • Manage NCRs and RMAs between the customer and IMS
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account updates
  • Collaborate with IMS departments to meet customer needs and company goals
  • Seek opportunities to improve customer experience and internal processes
  • Stay current on best practices in account management

Key Qualifications / Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer account management and strong customer relational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external communication
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and follow company procedures and processes
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Technical understanding of electronics manufacturing and customer product builds
  • Positive, mature, and professional demeanor
  • Proficient in English communication (verbal and written)
  • Strong computer skills : Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ERP systems (Intuitive ERP preferred)
  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of experience, OR Electronics Technologist Technical Diploma with 3+ years of experience, OR Equivalent qualifications and experience
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary : $60,000–$80,000 per year (based on electronics knowledge and experience)
  • Profit Sharing : Eligible based on company performance
  • Work Hours : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM (additional hours as needed)
  • Vacation : Vacation accrual of 6% per year (approximately 3 weeks (120 hours) vacation per year)
  • Christmas Shutdown : Additional paid holiday week during year-end closure
  • Birthday Leave : Paid day off in your birthday month (after 1 year of employment)
  • Benefits Package (after 90–180 day probation based on training / evaluation) : Health spending account, vision and dental coverage, life insurance, AD&D, LTD, extended health care, employee assistance program (EAP), paid sick time, appointment leave, and personal days
