Simcoe County District School Board is seeking a Custodian – Project Team member for Area 1B (Elmvale District HS and nearby schools). The role supports best-practice cleaning, trains others on equipment and new procedures, and handles project tasks with travel between locations as needed.
The position is temporary, with 8-hour days and an afternoon shift, and requires valid Ontario driver’s license, strong communication, and physical capability for demanding tasks.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Supervisor for an assigned area, the Custodian – Project team will be responsible for identifying and sharing best practices on a team and / or day shift cleaning, train other custodians on equipment maintenance, new cleaning procedures and ‘smart’ cleaning practices, and complete additional project tasks as assigned by the Regional Operations Supervisor. Individuals will be expected to work shifts and travel between locations as required.
All fees for the application process are covered by the Simcoe County District School Board.
The terms and conditions of employment for this position are contained within the CUPE Collective Agreement, including any applicable union dues.
