Position Summary :

Maintains buildings in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Functions :

• Maintains the facility and associated paperwork to meet AIB and other food safety standards.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums; may include hallways, stairs, and office space within the distribution center.
• Empties trash and garbage containers and cleans snow and debris from walkways.
• Performs inspections of equipment and reports findings.
• Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers.
• May remove charge transport and install hi-lo (forklift) batteries in the warehouse.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

• Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment) and to recognize mechanical abnormalities and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to read and understand information on a Material Safety Data Sheet and adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Must be able to operate powered industrial vehicles (PIV), vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, gardening tools, and other equipment.
• Must have basic computer skills utilizing Windows-based software.
