Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Custodian to maintain a pristine, welcoming environment within our facilities. The role focuses on cleaning high-traffic areas, mopping, sweeping, trash disposal, and daily upkeep to uphold CBRE’s standards of cleanliness.

You will stock restrooms, dust furniture and surfaces, and sanitize windows and glass, while following standardized procedures and safety guidelines. Regular meetings and trainings are part of the job to ensure consistent quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas designated by the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment including moving/rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and complete a cleaning checklist.

This vital position is part of our dedicated Cleaning Services function, whose collective mission is to ensure the immaculate upkeep of both client and company buildings. Your work directly contributes to creating spaces that are not just clean, but truly exceptional for everyone who steps through our doors.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which includes moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure area at all times. Complete a detailed cleaning checklist for each designated area.
• Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
