What you’ll do:

As a Stanley Park Operations Custodial Team Member, your primary responsibility is to maintain our locations to a high standard that amazes our guests, with safety as a top priority. This includes maintenance tasks related to the physical appearance and functionality of our buildings. We seek dedicated, professional individuals who prioritize guest satisfaction and work well in a team. Attention to detail is highly valued.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and weekly cleaning routines: garbage collection, sweeping, bathroom cleaning, polishing antiques, dusting, window cleaning, and managing maintenance inventory
• Maintain equipment and furnishings, such as tables, chairs, outdoor heaters, lightbulbs, pressure washers, etc.
• Assist with outdoor groundskeeping, litter removal, snow and ice removal, and garden upkeep
• Support event and food service teams with setup, teardown, and preparations
• Contribute to construction or upgrade projects as per your skills
• Travel between properties (company van available). A Class 5 driver’s license is required.
• Adhere to WorkSafe BC safety policies, assist the JOHS Committee to ensure safety standards are met or exceeded

Who you are:

• Strong interpersonal skills with a motivated personality
• High school diploma, some college or technical training preferred
• Level 2 or 3 Occupational First Aid and WHMIS certification are assets
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating systems, or gardening
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with all team levels, management, and vendors
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude with a strong desire to deliver memorable guest experiences

Considerations:

• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends
• Must be able to stand for extended periods
• Able to work in different weather conditions (heat, rain, winter)
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Occasionally climb ladders and work at heights

The hourly wage for this position is $21.40.
