Internally Titled: Learning Specialist

Location: 530 West Broadway, Vancouver BC, Canada

Core hours: Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:30pm PST

We value collaboration, both in-person and remotely. This position is classified as Hybrid under our Hybrid Work Program Policy, requiring onsite presence 2-3 days per week.

Role Summary

As the Learning Specialist, you will design and develop tools and resources to support Learning Projects and Programs at Eminence. You will create engaging training and education materials for instructor-led and self-directed learning across various audiences including Team Members, Spa Partners, International and Online Distributors, and Retail Customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to drive training design and retention. This role reports to the Learning and Development Manager.

Responsibilities
  1. Create high-quality, effective training tools to support learning needs for multiple audiences.
  2. Use instructional design best practices to develop engaging activities and compelling content that enhance participation, engagement, retention, and transfer of learning objectives.
  3. Develop and maintain training materials such as facilitation guides, presentations, instructional videos, and job aids to ensure consistency and progressive learning.
  4. Ensure all training materials comply with established design standards.
  5. Partner with the Learning and Development Manager to map and document the resource design process, including scoping, creation, launch, and maintenance.
  6. Work with SMEs to identify and implement methods for evaluating learner performance against objectives.
  7. Use feedback to continually improve training materials.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in designing and delivering training across multiple modalities and platforms.
  • Experience in creating learning for system implementation is preferred.
  • 3+ years of in-person facilitation experience.
  • Experience with online course development and delivery.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint and Teams platforms.
  • Experience creating learning content for system implementation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, curriculum planning, instructional copywriting, and scripting for audio/video.
  • Proficient in instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate 360), video editing, webinar tools, and MS Office.
