JOB OVERVIEW
NIMA is looking for a dedicated and experienced Métis Curriculum Developer to lead the development of a new, culturally relevant training initiative aimed at supporting employers in better understanding and fostering inclusive workplaces for Métis employees. This role will focus on developing meaningful training programs that address the barriers Métis workers face in recruitment, retention, and career advancement, while also providing essential guidance to non-Indigenous staff serving the Métis community.
Reporting to NIMA’s Executive Director, Jackie Lever, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with NIMA staff, Métis Knowledge Keepers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders across various sectors to ensure the curriculum is culturally authentic and effective.
This is a 91-week contract position, offering 30 hours per week with a starting wage of $35 per hour, negotiable based on experience. The position includes extended health and dental benefits as well as a pension plan and is available for an immediate start.

Métis history, identity, and cultural practices; Workplace barriers, discrimination, and lateral violence; Strategies for fostering inclusivity and cultural awareness in professional settings.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours – evening and weekend work may be required
Must provide a current Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector
