Position Title: Curriculum Coordinator
Status: FT Support
Hours: 35 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Office of the Registrar
Campus/Location: North Campus and must be comfortable working hybrid, working onsite a minimum 3 days a week.
Salary: FT Support Payband I (Start $39.34 – Max $45.59) *Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband .
About The Office Of The Registrar At Humber
The Office of the Registrar supports and celebrates student success. We provide students and the campus community with support through the distribution of key information, high-quality service delivery and the maintenance of essential systems and processes. Our dedicated staff work in a myriad of areas including Admissions, Academic Records, Convocation, Contact Centre, Fees, Financial Aid, Registration & Course Scheduling, Reporting, and Student Systems at both our North and Lakeshore campuses. About The Curriculum Coordinator Role
Under the direction of the Manager Curriculum, Registration & Scheduling, the Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the verification, coordination and maintenance of program and course curriculum in the Banner, DegreeWorks and Web Databases. The incumbent communicates and coordinates curriculum data flow with all Academic Faculties, the Program Planning Development & Renewal (PPDR) and Marketing departments, external vendors and all departments within the Office of the Registrar. Working with a portfolio of faculties, the incumbent creates training material and trains users on appropriate processes to ensure data quality and adherence to standards to prevent disruption of other processes that follow curriculum submission. The incumbent requires excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills to present information. The incumbent maintains and builds data tables to support the DegreeWorks module within the Banner Student Information System and specializes in translating and encoding college pre-requisite, graduation and academic requirements using a proprietary language (Scribe) developed by Ellucian. The incumbent works closely with the Business Systems Analysts and other Registration Coordinators to ensure all items relating to the Student Curriculum and DegreeWorks are updated and accurate. The incumbent also works as part of the Convocation organizing team, planning and coordinating various Convocation related functions in support of graduation for both the Spring and Fall Convocation ceremonies.

Education
3-year Diploma or equivalent in Business Management, Database Management, or Computer Applications
Experience/Skills
The incumbent must have a minimum of three (3) years related experience and should demonstrate the following:
- Experience working in the post-secondary education environment with a strong understanding of course, program and curriculum management, student life cycle (recruitment, admission, registration, academic progress, graduation, convocation, alumni) is compulsory.
- Strong logical and technical abilities to develop and modify program requirements which is the core source of students’ academic progress, fees calculation, scheduling and registration, financial aid calculations, and ministry funding.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to explain complex processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency working with student information systems and relational databases. Example: Banner, Curriculum Access DB, Degree Works, and/or large student records data reports.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office (including but not limited to Excel, Access and Word).
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle many tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to make and defend decisions; possess excellent interpersonal skills for advising and conflict resolution.
