Job summary

Career Trek in Winnipeg is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator to shape youth learning across Manitoba. You will coordinate maintenance, testing, review, and ongoing improvement of career exploration lessons and workshops, partnering with the Program Leadership Team.

The role is full-time, 12 months, with a $24/hour wage for 40 hours weekly, offering a hybrid work model and benefits. Start date is September 2026; apply by August 14, 2026. Travel within Manitoba is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the review, testing, revision, approval, and implementation of curriculum.
• Maintain and update career exploration lessons, facilitator guides, workshop materials, and supply lists.
• Gather and implement curriculum feedback from staff, participants, and stakeholders.
• Ensure lessons are current, inclusive, accessible, age-appropriate, and practical.
• Apply UDL, experiential learning, culturally responsive teaching, and career development principles.
• Research Manitoba labour market trends, educational pathways, and emerging careers.
• Collaborate with curriculum developers, post-secondary institutions, businesses, community partners, and subject matter experts.
• Coordinate testing and piloting of new and revised lessons.

• Gathering and implementing curriculum feedback from staff, participants, and stakeholders.
• Ensuring lessons are current, inclusive, accessible, age-appropriate, and practical.
• Applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL), experiential learning, culturally responsive teaching, and career development principles.
• Researching Manitoba labour market trends, educational pathways, and emerging careers.
• Collaborating with curriculum developers, post-secondary institutions, businesses, community partners, and subject matter experts.
• Coordinating the testing and piloting of new and revised lessons.

What We're Looking For

Assets (Nice to Have)

We're especially interested in candidates with experience or education in:

• Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Career Development, Youth Work, Community Development, or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered).
• Curriculum development or implementation.
• Working with children and youth (Grades 5–12).
• Universal Design for Learning, experiential learning, or culturally responsive teaching.
• Facilitating workshops or staff training.
• Supervising staff.
• Manitoba labour market trends and educational pathways.
• Supporting marginalized or underserved youth.
• Indigenous worldviews, teachings, and Truth & Reconciliation.
• A valid Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Please note:

• A stable internet connection is required for hybrid work.
• Travel throughout Manitoba, including rural and northern communities, will be required.
• A Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Check are required.
• A valid First Aid & CPR Certificate is required (or willingness to obtain one — Career Trek will reimburse the cost).
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
