Job summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking three Teaching Assistants for Fluid Mechanics II (course code MCG3341) on Main Campus. Work is in person during the 2027 winter session, with 130 total hours over the term.

Pay is hourly: TA rate $33.83 CAD and Graduate rate $53.31 CAD, with vacation and statutory pay not included. Responsibilities include lab assistance, equipment setup, student consultation, marking and proctoring, with hours allocated by the supervisor Matei Radulescu.

Qualifications

• Have successfully completed undergraduate mechanical courses.
• Exceptional knowledge of Free Body Diagrams and engineering mechanics.
• Good knowledge of common engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work with basic hand tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability in person throughout the course session.
• Availability to proctor the final exam.
