Job summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking two teaching assistants for CSI2532 Bases de données I at the Main Campus. You will support undergraduate and graduate students, correct assignments and lab work, supervise labs, and assist with project guidance.

Work is in person during the January–April 2027 term, with roles starting January 1, 2027. Applicants should have completed this course or equivalent with top marks, and possess strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL DBMS.
• Previous teaching assistant or lab supervision experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Correct assignments, lab reports, and midterm exams.
• Supervise laboratories and lead group projects.
• Hold office hours and assist in laboratory preparation.

Exigences minimales:

• La préférence sera accordée au candidat ayant complété ce cours ou les cours équivalent avec une note d'au moins A. Ils/Elles devront assister au séminaire pour les AE donné par le Centre de Pédagogie, si nécessaire. Les candidats retenus doivent être disponibles pour une entrevue. Si ce cours contient des périodes de DGD et/ou TUT et/ou LAB, les candidats doivent être disponibles pour celles-ci. Une excellente connaissance de la matière.
• Une connaissance approfondie du langage de programmation SQL et PostgreSQL DBMS, avec des expériences précédentes de type « hands-on ».
