CUPE 25/26 - 04: Library Technician (Temporary Part Time)

Join to apply for the CUPE 25/26 - 04: Library Technician (Temporary Part Time) role at Greater St. Albert Catholic Regional School Division.

This internal posting is open only to current CUPE Support Staff Union members until June 11, 2025. The position supports École Georges H. Primeau Middle School and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Academy, with duties commencing August 27, 2025, until June 29, 2026.

The Library Technician will collaborate to develop a Learning Commons environment, supporting student inquiry, reading, and literacy programs, including virtual and in-person events like book clubs and author visits. Responsibilities include collection management, assisting students and staff, maintaining resources, and supporting technology and Makerspace activities.

Qualifications include a two-year library technician diploma or equivalent, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, knowledge of learning commons and inquiry processes, familiarity with virtual resources, and experience with Makerspace and library software such as L4U and Macintosh platforms.
