A local school board is seeking a Permanent Maintenance Worker - Electrician to oversee the maintenance and installation of electrical systems across various sites. Candidates must have a Grade 12 diploma and current electrician certification. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical systems and maintaining HVAC components. Strong communication skills and 5+ years of related experience are essential. The position offers a starting pay of $42.72 per hour with additional benefits.
Permanent Maintenance Worker - Electrician, CUPE 1571. $42.72 (starting hourly rate), $42.94 (hourly rate after probation).
Position Summary: Under the regular direction of the Maintenance Coordinator, the electrician is responsible for the maintenance and installation of electrical and related systems and building components at various Board sites.
The selection of the successful applicants(s) will be made in accordance with Article 12 of the C.U.P.E. 1571 collective agreement.
