Giishkaandago'Ikwe Health Services is seeking a Cultural Support Worker to promote traditional Anishinaabe health practices for children and families. The role involves coordinating wellness initiatives through an Indigenous lens, requiring recognition as a Traditional Knowledge Carrier and a background in social work.
The Cultural Support Worker is a Traditional Knowledge Carrier responsible for the delivery and coordination of spiritual, emotional, and physical health promotion within traditional Anishinaabe approaches to wellness for children and their families within the Child's First Initiative Program. Candidates must be a recognized Traditional Knowledge Carrier with a strong understanding and knowledge of Anishinaabe traditional, spiritual, and land-based healing practices, approaches, and beliefs. Candidates are preferred to have a Bachelor of Social work or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
