Job description

The City of Delta is looking for dynamic, creative, and energetic piano instructor to teach private beginner/intermediate lessons for children & adults. Instructors are responsible for the planning and delivering of quality, instructional, and encouraging lessons. Programs run on a weekly basis on weekdays after school/evenings and weekends.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with people and have the following skills and abilities:

  • Have completed the Royal Conservatory of Music Elementary Piano Pedagogy Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Have experience teaching piano to children, youth and adults
  • Are flexible, self motivated, and can take initiative with little supervision
  • Are able to work independently
  • Have strong customer service skills
  • Able to commit to two sessions (2 months in duration) of instruction
  • Are willing to work 2-5 hour shifts in Tsawwassen, Ladner, and North Delta mainly evenings and/or weekends
  • Must be able to obtain a Police Information/Vulnerable Sector check.
