Cultural Services Leader - Early Childhood Music & Art Instructor

Job Overview

The City of Delta is seeking dynamic, creative, and energetic Early Childhood Music & Art Instructors to teach recreational music programs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing engaging classes for children from newborn to five years old, including activities like rhymes, dance, singing, echoing, percussion, story time, and object-based learning. Programs run weekly during mornings, after school, evenings, and weekends, with summer camps running Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Strong teaching background and experience instructing music to various age groups
• ECE Certification is an asset
• Flexible, self-motivated, and proactive with minimal supervision
• Responsible, punctual, and organized with excellent classroom management skills
• Willing to work 2-4 hour shifts in Tsawwassen, Ladner, and North Delta
• Available to work evenings (as early as 3 pm) and weekends
• Able to commit to two 2-month instructional sessions
• Capable of creating lesson plans for sessional classes
• Must pass and maintain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance
