Job description

Niagara Parks is currently recruiting for Warehouse Clerks to join our Culinary Services team for the 2025 season.

This position compensates at a rate of $19.43/hr Seasonal Bargaining Unit and Part-Time employees. Students will be compensated in accordance with Ontario Minimum Wage legislation.

Seasonal Bargaining Unit and Part Time Employees Specific:

• Additional $1.55/hr for each hour worked in lieu of benefits (seasonal bargaining unit only);

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of Secondary School Diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• One – two years’ experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently; good organizational skills including record keeping skills; mathematical skills; good interpersonal/communication skills; ability to meet strict deadlines; experience with a POS system.
• Ability to operate equipment, conduct inventory stock counts, carry out manual tasks, and use computerized programs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the storerooms, freezers, and receiving area for applicable venue.
• Receives, unpacks, and checks all merchandise for resale, checks quantities against packing slips and notifies Department Manager or Designate as appropriate regarding discrepancies.
• Checks packing slips against purchase orders for accuracy; detects and resolves routine and semi-routine discrepancies such as price differences, wrong product, different bar codes and reports issues to Department Manager or Designate.
• Inspects, weighs and counts all deliveries for accuracy, freshness, temperature, etc. if applicable.
• Processes purchase orders (shipments) including quality controls of products.
• Assigns bin locations to products when putting items onto storage racks/shelving.
• Picks and packs merchandise on a routine basis replenishing inventory level.
• Accurately labels all outgoing shipments with location name, transfer number and product type to ensure they are deployed efficiently.
• Obtains signature of delivery driver to indicate incorrect or damaged goods.
• Completes transfer forms and requisition sheets organizes the pick-up and delivery of merchandise to NPC locations.
• Stocks merchandise on shelves in a neat orderly manner; ensures perishable products are stored correctly and rotated accordingly.
• Counts and re-tickets merchandise as required.
• Loads, drives, and delivers merchandise as required throughout NPC.
• Prepares weekly/monthly inventory counts.
• Assists in inventory counts during the yearend audit processes.
• Aids in loading/unloading the delivery vehicles.
• Works in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and NPC Policies.
• Assists with keeping of entrances free of snow and ice.
• As assigned.
