Job summary

Qualifications

Jack Astor's - Back of House Positions

Positions Available

We are excited to hire candidates for Back of House positions including:

  • Line Cooks
  • Grill Cooks
  • Fryer Cooks
  • Sauté Cooks
  • Dishwasher
Role and Responsibilities

Your role will be to consistently provide our guests with an outstanding dining experience by adhering to our standards of quality and service. We will support you for success in your role within an environment that maintains high standards, a positive attitude, and a winning mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with management prior to shift regarding daily menu needs, special functions, or events
  • Ensure kitchen is ready for business before opening (sanitize work area, stock, prepare raw ingredients)
  • Prepare food items to company standards while accommodating guests' special requests
  • Inspect food orders for proper presentation, portioning, and recipe adherence before serving
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary diploma is an asset
  • Availability to work various restaurant hours
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
