Job summary

Dexterra Group in Longueuil, QC is seeking a dedicated cook to join our team. You will help prepare fresh meals, support the chef, and ensure safe handling of ingredients in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll contribute to a team that values quality, food safety, and guest satisfaction, with opportunities for growth and development within a stable, North American hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and home-cooked meals in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 10 kg and work in extreme temperatures.
• Able to communicate effectively in French (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe preparation of food and beverage ingredients, including measuring temperature.
• Help the chef create fresh home-cooked meals and serve them to consumers.
• Prepare fresh ingredients using industrial knives safely.
• Follow Dexterra's policies and standards and comply with workplace safety/food safety regulations.
• Manage cash transactions for the cafeteria and enter accurate customer orders while tracking all transactions.

WHATS THE JOB?

We are looking for a cook willing to join our team. This is a critical position in our team and the successful candidate is looking for opportunities to grow while being passionate about food.

• Ensure the safe preparation of our food and beverage ingredients, including measuring temperature


• Helping the chef create fresh home-cooked meals and serve them to consumers


• Prepare Fresh Ingredients Using Industrial Knives Safely


• Follow Dana Hospitality's policies and standards as well as comply with workplace safety and food safety/disinfection regulations


• Manage cash transactions for the cafeteria, enter accurate customer orders and receive payment while maintaining the designated amount at the cash register and ensuring proper tracking of all transactions
