Job summary

A Canadian university is seeking a sessional instructor for the Advanced 3D Animation Design course. The instructor will teach character modelling, rigging, and animation, and guide students in creating professional 3D portfolios. Applicants should have an advanced degree in Creative Technologies or Design and expertise in 3D animation and Maya. Teaching experience is an asset.   • MA, MFA, MDes, or PhD with a focus on Creative Technologies and/or Design, or equivalent.
  • Evidence of expertise in 2D/3D composition, design, motion media, and 3D animation.
  • Knowledge of Maya is essential.
  • Experience managing classroom and online technologies.
  • Teaching experience at the university level is an asset.

The University of Regina is seeking a sessional instructor for the course CTCH/DES 314 - Advanced 3D Animation Design. The successful candidate will teach advanced studies in 3D modelling/animation for industry and entertainment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching character modelling, rigging, and animation
  • Covering applications for motion graphics and visual effects (VFX)
  • Guiding students in creating a professional 3D portfolio for media and industry

Requirements:

  • MA, MFA, MDes, or PhD with a focus on Creative Technologies and/or Design, or equivalent
