Overview

Under the direction of the radiologist, performs radiographic procedures and CT scans with a level of independence, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for procedures and scans. Travel is a requirement of this position.

Education

• Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training in an approved Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) training school or equivalent.
• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (C.M.R.T.O.).
• Advanced knowledge/education in anatomy and physiology, including cross-sectional anatomy (preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CT Technologist experience in the last three years (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years helical multi-slice CT scan experience (preferably on a Toshiba CT scanner, preferred).
• Ability to function professionally and courteously.
• Organizational skills and initiative within scope of responsibility.
• Availability to work evenings, on-call, and statutory holidays.
• Good work and attendance record.
• Compliance with Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and psychological health and safety at MGH.
