Successful candidates may be hired in one of four (4) intakes per year, which align with the Ontario Police College training dates.
Required QualificationsSuccessful candidates will be required to attend the Ontario Police College in Aylmer, Ontario. Candidates will be required to attend the Ottawa Police Professional Development center pre and post OPC.
Hours of WorkMust be able to work all shifts as designated in the hours of work section. The incumbent is required to work hours commensurate with a 24 / 7 shift schedule in order to meet operational requirements of the section, including days, afternoons, evenings, and/or nights (including Statutory Holidays).
Effort and Working ConditionsThis position will require officers to work in adverse weather and uncomfortable conditions. It can require officers to sit or stand for long periods of time without relief.
