Job Description

The Cumming School of Medicine is seeking a Full-time Regular CSM LGI MedSIS 3c System Administrator.

The System Administrator is a key member of the MedSIS IT support team, responsible for managing and supporting the MedSIS 3c platform to enhance organizational success. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Office of the Senior Associate Dean Education, they will optimize the platform's architecture, processes, and practices for maximum value and efficiency. Collaboration with system administrators in PGME and UME is essential.

This role involves independent problem-solving, system implementation, and maintenance, requiring innovative approaches to achieve desired outcomes for the programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of LGI MedSIS 3c functionalities
  • Act as a system super-user
  • Configure system for registration, assessment, and evaluation, including faculty and learner onboarding, program setup, assessment and evaluation forms, events, and reporting
  • Ensure system security, reliability, and smooth operation
  • Perform testing for updates and new releases
  • Create user guides and troubleshoot system issues
  • Manage tickets via JIRA as needed
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and reporting
  • Identify and implement system improvements
  • Support a community of practice among platform users
Internal Support
  • Serve as primary contact for internal business needs related to LGI MedSIS 3c
  • Provide user support and training
  • Maintain documentation
  • Act as liaison between CSM, PGME, UME, and IT
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • ERP and database experience required
  • 1-2 years in medical/academic education environment
  • 5-7 years in systems management or business analysis preferred
  • Knowledge of U of C infrastructure is an asset
  • Strong IT, project management, data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with project and change management preferred
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Experience with Medical Education Software is a plus
  • Knowledge of medical education environment is an asset
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and maintain confidentiality
