JOB PURPOSE

GM Led Excellence in Execution Teams: We focus on having dedicated marketing teams and execution teams structured under key strategic pillars to ensure best-in-class performance.

Our Category Operations Organization, led by the BU Lead, serves as the commercial arm of the BU—responsible for performance management, P&L ownership, category and brand operations, planning, shopper marketing, NRM, and category strategy. This team is organized by category and integrated into one performance management organization. The NA Value Creation team collaborates with the Canada CatOps team on specific projects, with Canada owning P&L responsibilities to unlock GM.

The B&W Category Operations team focuses on execution across all portfolio brands in partnership with cross-functional teams.

  • The B&W Category Operations Lead manages the delivery of the B&W strategy and growth, overseeing customer & category development, operations, and value creation.
  • The CS&P and Category Operations Associate Manager acts as the voice of the customer and shopper in the Beauty & Wellbeing BU. They ensure channel and customer insights inform category and brand plans, and they develop in-store execution strategies, including Instore Visibility and OMNI shopper initiatives.
  • Category Operations aim to achieve targets by collaborating with Customer Development, Demand Creation, and Integrated Planning teams to align and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • This role is involved in core processes like Sales & Operating Plan (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and Net Revenue Management (NRM).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and communicating trade strategies to the Customer Development team; monitoring performance via sales reports and Nielsen data.
  • Implementing channel-specific strategies to meet diverse shopper needs across all Canadian channels.
  • Creating pricing, promotion, distribution, and shelving strategies focused on flawless execution.
  • Collaborating with Demand Creation on product launches, relaunches, and large packs to introduce impactful innovations.
  • Monitoring competitive trade activities and recommending actions.
  • P&L ownership from net sales to profit before overheads; managing trade budgets and trade spend.
  • Supporting the Customer Development agenda and working with cross-functional teams on promotional activities based on shopper insights.
  • Partnering with the strategic forecasting team to identify risks and opportunities, and making recommendations.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate information flow to the Customer Development Group.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in sales, such as Business Analyst, Account Manager, Customer Marketing, Trade Marketing, or Sales Strategy, with at least 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • University degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Independent, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
