Job summary

RBC is seeking a Senior Cryptography Governance professional in Toronto to participate in the quantum safe program and coordinate adoption across technology pillars. You will report on progress, plan workstreams, and work with governance teams to maintain frameworks and policies that ensure security standards are met.

You will analyze data, identify cryptographic risks, and stay abreast of regulatory changes to guide governance decisions and continuous improvement.

Must Have:

  • Strategic thinking - The ability to understand RBC’s Cryptographic Strategy and make recommendations that align with its goals and objectives.
  • Risk management – Knowledge of risk management processes and a basic ability to identify, assess, and plan remediation of risks associated with cryptographic services governance operations.
  • Compliance - An understanding of relevant industry guidance related to cryptographic mechanisms and standards.
  • Communication and stakeholder engagement - Candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, executives, employees, and external parties.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills – Adept in their ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making and solve complex problems.
  • Leadership and collaboration – Candidate will be required to work with others, build trust, and influence stakeholders to achieve cryptographic governance program objectives.
  • Policy development and implementation – Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures that support RBC’s cryptographic governance practices.
  • Monitoring and reporting - The ability to track and report on cryptographic governance performance, including metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Adaptability and continuous learning - The ability to stay up-to-date with changing governance requirements, industry trends, and best practices.
