Job summary

Nord Quantique seeks a Mid-level Mechanical Designer to advance cryogenic hardware for quantum processors. You will design precision assemblies for QPUs operating at cryogenic temperatures, perform thermo-mechanical analyses, and ensure manufacturability and repeatability in a fast-paced R&D setting.

Ideal candidates hold a BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering with 5+ years in precision design, and experience with CAD tools and FEA. English proficiency required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in mechanical design.
• R&D experience in quantum hardware or precision engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design precision mechanical assemblies for cryogenic QPUs and dilution refrigerators.
• Conduct thermo-mechanical and structural analysis using FEA to validate performance.
• Develop repeatable assembly procedures and maintain CAD libraries and drawings.
