Job summary

You will work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Service, Lab Operations, and external partners to scale and improve production processes. The role emphasizes DFM/DFA, NPI readiness, root cause analysis, and KPI-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Cryogenic Engineering or related.
• 7+ years in manufacturing/production/operations engineering.
• Experience scaling production of complex electromechanical products.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, thermal management, and precision assemblies.
• Experience with root cause analysis and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience; NetSuite is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimization of manufacturing processes for cryogenic products and subassemblies.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, assembly procedures, and process specifications.
• Support production scaling initiatives while maintaining product quality, reliability, and safety.
• Contribute to capacity planning, workflow optimization, and manufacturing efficiency improvements.
• Evaluate and implement production tooling, fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment.
• Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new cryogenic products (NPI).
• Collaborate with Hardware Engineering for DFM/DFA and support prototype, pilot, and first production builds.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities; develop process controls and quality metrics.
