Job description

Crushing & Screening Plant Operator - Greater Sudbury

William Day Construction is actively seeking applicants for a Crushing and Screening Plant Supervisor. The ideal candidate will manage a crushing/screening plant, maximizing material production while minimizing plant interruptions and breakdowns.

Duties and Requirements
  1. Coordinate with mine site production and demands.
  2. Coach, mentor, and develop employees to achieve their full potential.
  3. Maintain records and daily production schedules for reports on production and maintenance.
  4. Meet or exceed production targets and deadlines.
  5. Report directly to the Crushing Operations Manager.
  6. Manage health & safety audits, performance reviews, site inspections, and customer contract safety requirements.
  7. Must be qualified to work in a safety-sensitive environment.
  8. Knowledge of JHAs / PHRs is an asset.
  9. Ability to clearly communicate and deliver instructions.
  10. Strong leadership skills.
  11. Effective time management skills.
  12. Schedule plant maintenance with the maintenance team and subcontractors.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in aggregate processing.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  3. Valid driver’s license.
  4. Dependability and consistency in attendance.
  5. Mandatory knowledge of crushing and screening maintenance and troubleshooting.
  6. Availability for shift work, including days, nights, and weekends.
  7. May require out-of-town work.
Position Details
  1. Work schedules vary based on client requirements; primarily all dayshift hours.
  2. Permanent full-time position.
  3. Benefits include social club, pension plan, and health benefits.
  4. Location: Greater Sudbury.
