Crushing & Screening Plant Operator - Greater Sudbury
William Day Construction is actively seeking applicants for a Crushing and Screening Plant Supervisor. The ideal candidate will manage a crushing/screening plant, maximizing material production while minimizing plant interruptions and breakdowns.
Duties and Requirements
- Coordinate with mine site production and demands.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees to achieve their full potential.
- Maintain records and daily production schedules for reports on production and maintenance.
- Meet or exceed production targets and deadlines.
- Report directly to the Crushing Operations Manager.
- Manage health & safety audits, performance reviews, site inspections, and customer contract safety requirements.
- Must be qualified to work in a safety-sensitive environment.
- Knowledge of JHAs / PHRs is an asset.
- Ability to clearly communicate and deliver instructions.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Schedule plant maintenance with the maintenance team and subcontractors.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in aggregate processing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Dependability and consistency in attendance.
- Mandatory knowledge of crushing and screening maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Availability for shift work, including days, nights, and weekends.
- May require out-of-town work.

- Work schedules vary based on client requirements; primarily all dayshift hours.
