Overview

Crusher Operator - PENTICTON, BC

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years’ experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, project basis.

Schedule: 10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 40hr/week

Location: Penticton, BC

Pay Range: $30-$40 per hour depending on experience

Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Requirements:

• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

Pre-employment:

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation

Crusher Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery, tools, and equipment as required in a safe manner
• Handle reagents as required and ensure that clean-up is conducted correctly
• Clean up excess material around the crusher using either a skid-steer and/or shovel as needed
• Perform daily system, equipment, and work area inspections to identify, minimize and correct safety hazards, conduct quality checks, and ensure that equipment is properly maintained.
• Maintain a clean work environment free of hazards, maintaining high standards, submitting work requests to maintenance personnel.

Crusher Operator Qualifications:

• Capable of performing physical labour, shoveling, and troubleshooting machinery.
• Experience running a crusher preferred.
• Good communications skills.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently.
