Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. in Dubreuilville, Ontario, is seeking a Crusher Plant Operator to start-up, operate, monitor and shut down crushing equipment on a 7-on/7-off, 12-hour shift schedule.

The role requires hands-on operation and strict adherence to safety protocols. You will perform adjustments, inspections and routine maintenance, support conveyor systems, and contribute to safe, efficient plant operations while working with a team in a cold outdoor mining environment.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a mining or industrial environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, operation, routine monitoring and inspection, and shut-down of all crushing plant equipment, whenever the Crusher Plant Operator is unavailable.
• Adjust and check crusher setting as prescribed
• Perform visual inspections of the crushing equipment and fine ore bin level
• Carry out routine maintenance of conveyors and conveyor components
• Adjust rate of plant feed and balance between crushers to avoid equipment overload
• Verify lubrication of crushing equipment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Start-up, operation, routine monitoring and inspection, and shut-down of all crushing plant equipment, whenever the Crusher Plan Operator is unavailable;
• Adjust and check crusher setting as prescribed
• Perform visual inspections of the crushing equipment and fine ore bin level
• Carry out routine maintenance of conveyors and conveyor components
• Adjust rate of plant feed and balance between crushers to avoid equipment overload
• Verify lubrication of crushing equipment;
• Remove tramp iron and wood from the jaw crusher feed;
• Clean the metal recovery system;
• Unblock equipment when necessary;
• Verification of conveyor chute and operation of dust removal systems;
• Operate mobile equipment to supply the mill with reagents, grinding media etc.
• Maintain plant housekeeping
• Cleaning of jaw crusher grease during day-shift;
• Progress to Crushing Plant Operator
• All other activities as assigned by the Mill Supervisor.

What You Bring to the Table:

Previous work experience in a mining or industrial work environment is preferred.

Completed Secondary School Diploma or GED

Good communicator, good physical abilities, able to work independently and within teams, and able to work different schedules.

Working Conditions:

Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions. This will be 7 day on 7 day off rotation, 12 hr shifts.
