Travel Partnerships and Advertising helps partners, including hotels, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply, our leading advertising and travel media network and affiliate solutions.

Introduction to the Team

As part of the Supply & Sales Team, the Cruise Merchandiser is responsible for managing and optimizing cruise product marketing across all Expedia Group brands. Key duties include curating cruise products for marketing materials, managing promotional content, collaborating with cruise lines on merchandising opportunities, and supporting marketing campaigns across various channels. This individual will be expected to seamlessly navigate between hands-on operational tasks and high-level strategic discussions, serving as both a reliable executor and a trusted advisor in cruise marketing initiatives.

In this role, you will
  • Represent all Expedia Group Brands in cruise marketing efforts
  • Optimize the selection of cruise products for marketing materials
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of merchandising and cruise line promotions
  • Manage promotional content, including:
    • Loading deals through content management tools
    • Producing merchandising pages
    • Providing quality assurance
    • Creating support materials (booking instructions, test plans, support kits)
  • Collaborate directly with cruise lines to support merchandising opportunities and manage tactical details for promotions (terms and conditions, copy, etc.)
  • Work with the marketing team to fulfill product selection requirements for print and digital marketing campaigns
  • Liaise with Expedia Group Advertising to supply offer details, including copy, booking dates, images, and landing pages
  • Evaluate and optimize promotions to maximize sort visibility on the site
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on promotion details, rates, and their impact on agents and the site
  • Attend cruise line partner conference calls

The total cash range for this position in Vancouver is $73,000.00 to $102,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $117,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual\'s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
