A local government body in Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking responsible adults for the role of crossing guard. You will ensure children's safety while crossing busy streets during school hours. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively and maintain a courteous attitude towards students and the public. The position requires working outside in all weather conditions, for two hours a day during school sessions. Training is provided.
The City of St. John's is seeking responsible adults who are interested in making a difference in their community. Crossing guards play an important role in keeping children safe on their way to and from school by assisting them with crossing the street in a safe and controlled environment. Crossing guards are assigned to primary and elementary schools during school arrival and dismissal times.
The successful applicant will be required to participate in all training programs applicable to this position and other related work. Working outside in all weather conditions.
This position works for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon (2 hours per day), Monday - Friday (when school is in session).
