The Academic Cross-Faculty Manager/Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring alignment with MaKami College’s academic standards, processes, and systems while supporting faculty, department heads, and staff in navigating internal structures. Reporting to the Manager of Instructional Design and Learning within the Instructional Design Team, this position facilitates cross-departmental collaboration, ensures academic programs meet institutional and accreditation standards, supports innovative curriculum development, and promotes efficient communication and alignment between faculties.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between faculties to align academic goals, policies, and program requirements.
- Facilitate inter-faculty meetings to discuss program offerings, shared resources, and collaborative initiatives.
- Ensure seamless integration of cross-faculty courses, schedules, and assessments.
- Oversee curriculum alignment across faculties, ensuring compliance with institutional, provincial, and national accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with faculty leadership and instructional designers to develop, review, and update programs.
- Promote the incorporation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), inclusivity, and decolonization principles in curriculum design.
- Monitor program performance and ensure alignment with institutional outcomes and goals.
- Conduct regular program reviews, analyzing feedback from students, instructors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports on program effectiveness, suggesting improvements where necessary.
- Provide guidance and resources to faculty teams for cross-disciplinary initiatives and academic innovation.
- Support professional development opportunities related to teaching strategies, curriculum design, and assessment methods.
- Collaborate with department chairs and program leaders to address faculty concerns and promote effective teaching practices.
- Work with student services and faculties to ensure programs meet learner needs and enhance the student experience.
- Advocate for strategies that support student engagement, equity, and accessibility across programs.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of academic initiatives and program expansion.
- Coordinate resource allocation for cross-faculty projects and ensure efficient program delivery.
- Manage budgets related to multi-faculty academic initiatives.
- Foster relationships with external accrediting bodies, industry stakeholders, and community organizations to enhance program relevance.
- Represent the institution in cross-faculty and external academic discussions, ensuring alignment with broader institutional objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in education, instructional design, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in higher education program management, curriculum design, or a related role.
- Proven track record of leading cross-disciplinary or multi-faculty initiatives.
Skills
- Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration.
- Knowledge of curriculum development processes, accreditation standards, and adult learning principles.

This role typically involves a combination of in-office, on-campus, and virtual interactions. Occasional travel between campuses or for external engagements may be required.
