Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, commerce or a related field, or currently completing such a program.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to follow detailed instructions and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in Canadian/US cross-border taxation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of Canadian and US personal tax returns.
• Organize and review client tax information.
• Enter and verify tax information accurately.
• Prepare supporting schedules and working papers.
• Review source documents for completeness.
• Identify missing or inconsistent information.
• Assist with tax research and other tax assignments.
• Follow established preparation procedures and checklists.
• Maintain organized client files.
• Support Managers and Associates with tax assignments.
• Meet assigned deadlines.
• Learn and apply Canadian and US tax rules and procedures.
• Communicate questions and potential issues to the Tax Team.
