This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make, and deliver essential products.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Crop Inputs Sales Associate will sell directly to the company's consumers or business purchasers or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will help identify and contact prospective agriculture customers, build relationships to generate future sales and repeat business, participate in assessing customer needs, and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.

Key Accountabilities
  • With supervision, help identify, develop, and close new sales.
  • Support business growth by disseminating information that promotes the organization and its products and services.
  • Monitor agriculture customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
  • Coordinate agriculture market research, crop input pricing, and sales and merchandising activities with supervision.
  • Participate in regular strategy meetings with customers' senior management to understand and meet their needs.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, escalating more complex issues as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid, full Canadian Driver’s Licence in good standing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of grain and crop input operations and products.
  • Sales experience.
