Criticalist Location: Oakville, ON Employment Type: Regular Full-time Vacancy status: Existing Compensation: $175,000 to $200,000

Mississauga-Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Oakville, Ontario, Canada,is welcoming a Board-certified Criticalist or Board Eligible to join our specialty team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced critical care to hospitalized and emergency patients; 4 to 6 patients on average
  • Collaborate and work closely with emergency doctors and other specialty service Associates
  • Lead and support ICU cases and develop treatment plans
  • Participate in case discussion rounds
  • Mentorship; mentor and guide emergency doctors, interns and veterinary technicians
Qualifications
  • Board-certified (AVCECC, DACVECC or ECVECC) in Critical Care.
  • Team player with excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Positive and collegial personality, and who enjoys interacting with other specialists, emergency doctors and veterinary technicians
  • Mentoring mindset and offer training to those on your team to support the growth of your technicians, assistants, and other staff.
  • DVM degree allows for licensure in the province of Ontario.
