Job description

The Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Leader/Foreman is a hands-on landscaping position supervising a year-round crew with commercial landscaping maintenance services, as well as performing planning, administrative, and regulatory functions.

CGM Crew Leader responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Supervise and train maintenance crews on all aspects of landscape maintenance services.
  2. Mowing, raking, digging, and weeding of commercial properties landscapes.
  3. Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
  4. Schedule and manage daily workloads.
  5. Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and job materials each day.
  6. Attend and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
  7. Prepare timesheets and other daily paperwork as required by the company.
  8. Safely drive company-owned vehicles (trucks with or without trailers) and transport crew members.
  9. Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors, and/or subcontractors.
  10. Monitor and maintain irrigation controllers (changing times, replacing heads, etc.).
Safe operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment:
  • Mowers - Push, walk-behind, and ride.
  • Tillers, aerators, and slit seeders.
  • Edgers, string trimmers, and chainsaws.
  • Backpack blowers and sprayers.
  • Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes, and pruning tools.
  • Occasional use of wheel tractors.
Pay/Benefits Package
  • $650 to $995 Weekly Salary
  • Affordable BCBS Health Insurance with optional Vision/Dental
  • 40 hours (PTO) Paid Time Off annually + 11 observed holidays
