Job summary

Skyservice FBO in Dorval, QC seeks a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to guide a team, ensure airworthiness, and maintain schedules. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, managing parts orders, and keeping meticulous logbooks.

Relocation and comprehensive benefits are available. The candidate must hold Transport Canada M2/M1 and demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Transport Canada M2 and/or M1 certification.
• Knowledge of MCM and paperwork system.
• Ability to supervise a crew of maintenance employees.
• Confident team player with leadership capability.
• Ability to work under pressure and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of aircraft maintenance engineers and balance workload.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance projects.
• Handle ordering paperwork and ensure timely delivery of parts.
• Assist in troubleshooting and provide hands-on support.
• Complete logbook entries and work orders.
• Ensure airworthiness of all Skyservice FBO aircraft.
• Maintain a flexible schedule (day, night, evening).
• Cover Coordinator duties in their absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Job description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead a team of aircraft maintenance engineers (give them proper instructions, distribute and balance the workload, inspect the work performed, reinforce the application of safety standards, comply with company policies and ensure proper discipline of the team);
• Ensure timely completion of all maintenance projects as needed;
• Perform the paperwork required in ordering all necessary parts and take the necessary steps to ensure delivery of parts on time;
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving, assuming hands on role as necessary;
• Complete all logbook entries, work orders and crew Passovers;
• Ensure the airworthiness of all aircraft maintained by Skyservice FBO;
• Flexible work schedule (day, nights, and evenings);
• Assume all duties of the Coordinator in his absence;
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Valid Transport Canada M2 and/or M1;
