Peoples Trust is seeking a Credit Quality Assurance professional to ensure compliance in mortgage processes. Ideal candidates will possess a post-secondary degree and a minimum of three years in a similar role, with strong communication skills in both French and English. This hybrid position balances in-office and remote work, fostering a supportive environment focused on employee well-being and professional growth.
We are hiring for this position out of our Vancouver office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.
Role Overview :
The role is primarily focused on the completion of daily pre-funding credit quality reviews of single family residential mortgages to ensure adherence to Peoples Group’s (PG) policies, procedures, default insurer and regulatory requirements. This includes close collaboration with the internal mortgage underwriting team and other stakeholders on any identified file issues for successful and timely resolution. The individual proactively monitors the daily deal pipeline, reprioritizes file reviews, as necessary, and produces daily pipeline reporting to management.
A key aspect of the role involves daily use of MS Excel to accurately record and score all files reviewed including clear coach-back notes on any non-critical errors to avoid repetition. This supports the production of accurate and valuable monthly management reporting to all stakeholders. The position also includes following up on and tracking EDD Head's Up Fraud Alerts received from default insurers. The individual is also responsible for performing a variety of monthly, quarterly and ad hoc sample post-funding audits, as assigned.
