The Role : CREDit Graduate Program Analyst – Structured Finance

Program Overview :

When you join S&P Global Ratings, you become part of one of the world's leading providers of independent credit risk research and benchmarks. You will be involved in producing high-quality fundamental research based on established criteria.

Our CREDit Graduate Program is a two-year training and development opportunity with the next intake in September 2025. Analysts are hired for specific practices but are expected to transition between practices as needed. The program combines practical work experience with relevant qualifications, such as the CFA.

The Practice :

S&P’s Structured Finance division analyzes credit risk of debt instruments backed by pools of assets, focusing on cash flow and credit risk characteristics of asset pools rather than ongoing company operations. The division covers sectors like Asset-Backed Securities, Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities, and Collateralized Loan Obligations.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Conduct credit and recovery analysis for services provided to corporate, institutional, and governmental clients.
  • Evaluate organizations’ creditworthiness based on their ability to meet financial obligations.
  • Provide quarterly financial data analysis with strong organizational skills.
  • Assist in reporting, research, and presentation development.
  • Collaborate on execution improvements and ad-hoc projects.
What We’re Looking For :

Required Qualifications and Experience :

  • Completion of a minimum undergraduate degree by August 2025 with a strong academic record.
  • All majors welcome, including Accounting, Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Math, Public Policy, Quantitative Analysis, Data and Statistics.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Interest in learning and applying credit analysis.
  • Ability to conduct independent research and analysis.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset, especially with AI and technological advancements.
  • Experience with AI technologies for data analysis is a plus.

Additional Preferred Qualifications :

  • Background in engineering or related technical fields.
