TFS currently has an exciting permanent opportunity as a Credit Analyst, reporting to the Credit Supervisors.

The successful candidate can be located anywhere in Canada. The hours of operation for this role are Monday to Friday 11:45AM to 8PM PST with rotating Saturday's and holiday's as required.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Analyze retail automotive credit applications within established turnaround times.
  • Make quality credit decisions with critical thinking and discipline.
  • Maintain internal control standards, protect company risk and perform due diligence when making credit decisions.
  • Provide recommendations to supervisor on credit applications in excess of lending limits.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to the Credit Investigator.
  • Maintain a consistent level of communication, direction and support with dealership personnel on credit offerings.
  • Demonstrate a sales consultative approach by negotiating and looking for ways to grow the business portfolio and finding non-traditional ways to build deals.

What You Bring:

  • Three plus years of credit analyst/lender experience in an automotive retail credit environment in addition to some collections experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Business/Commerce is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and French is considered a strong asset.
  • Proven ability to perform successfully in a challenging team-oriented, fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive and innovative with strong sense of ownership.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to build relationships with dealers by utilizing a proactive sales approach.
  • Persuasive influencing ability while exuding confidence.
  • Solid customer focus and the desire to deliver industry leading service.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Crucial attention to detail is imperative to ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products and Fraud Detection Tools / Processes (Ex: Luminate).
