TFS currently offers a permanent opportunity for a Credit Analyst, reporting to the Credit Supervisors. This position is hybrid, based out of our Markham head office.

What you will be doing :

  1. Analyze retail automotive credit applications within established turnaround times.
  2. Make quality credit decisions with critical thinking and discipline.
  3. Maintain internal control standards, protect company risk, and perform due diligence when making credit decisions.
  4. Provide recommendations to supervisors on credit applications exceeding lending limits.
  5. Guide and instruct the Credit Investigator.
  6. Maintain communication, direction, and support with dealership personnel regarding credit offerings.
  7. Demonstrate a sales consultative approach by negotiating, seeking business growth opportunities, and exploring non-traditional deal structures.

What you bring :

  • Over three years of credit analyst/lender experience in an automotive retail credit environment, including some collections experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Business or Commerce degree preferred.
  • Ability to succeed in a challenging, fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive, innovative, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with dealers using a proactive sales approach.

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Fraud Detection Tools/Processes (e.g., Luminate).
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts between 8:00 am and 11:00 pm EST, including Saturdays and holidays.
  • Bilingual in English and French (oral and written) - preferred.
