Job description

Role : The Credit Analyst determines creditworthiness and establishes credit terms for new customers. They are responsible for monitoring customer receivables and acting on overdue balances.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze new account opening requests and render decisions.
  • Monitor customer receivables and proactively follow up on overdue balances daily.
  • Assess creditworthiness and credit limits of customers on an ongoing basis.
  • Enforce credit terms and limits continually.
  • Conduct collection calls on overdue balances daily and negotiate payment arrangements as needed.
  • Prepare accounts for submission to collection agencies monthly.
  • Monitor and adjust budgeted customer accounts as necessary.
  • Track credit KPIs weekly, compile, and communicate KPI summaries.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Location : Hearst, ON
  • Schedule : On-site, Monday to Friday, 40 hours / week
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Statistics.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3+ years in credit and / or financial analysis.
  • Language : Bilingual in French and English, written and spoken.
  • Technology : Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP platforms, specifically Business Central.
  • Additional skills : Strong background in ratio analysis, risk assessment, financial statement analysis, credit report analysis; keen attention to discrepancies in data; proficient in financial data gathering and analysis; strong mathematical and analytical skills; excellent communication skills in English and French; strong customer service skills.
