Job description

AECOM's Design and Consulting Services Marketing Group is seeking a Creative Design Specialist to join our Water proposal team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for design, be open to collaboration, and be ready to tackle new challenges. This role involves designing and developing proposal presentations, supporting graphics, and marketing materials from concept to completion.

This will be a hybrid position combining remote and in-office work, based in locations such as Mississauga, Markham, Burnaby, Calgary, and Edmonton.

Applicants must provide a portfolio link or PDF samples showcasing their work in layout, graphics, and presentation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic graphic design solutions for proposals, sales materials, and presentations, including document layouts, PowerPoint presentations, storyboards, covers, marketing collateral, illustrations, and interactive PDFs.
• Maintain a collaborative attitude and work well in a detail-focused, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment.
• Handle multiple projects, set priorities, manage time, and organize work efficiently.
• Apply corporate branding to proposals and presentations.
• Ensure cohesive messaging and visual identity, representing key win themes visually.
• Develop moderate to complex visual solutions and identify areas where graphics can enhance storytelling in proposals.
• Travel occasionally to support sales efforts in other offices.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS degree and 4 years of relevant graphic design experience or equivalent.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills, preferably in the Architectural/Engineering & Construction industry.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience in the Architectural/Engineering & Construction sectors or in Proposal and Sales.
• Experience with additional creative, visual, interactive, and multimedia tools.
• Experience with illustration, map creation, isometrics, and cross-sections.

Additional Information:

Note that company-paid relocation and sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization are not available for this position.
