The North Vancouver District Public Library seeks a Creative Technology Coordinator to lead digital initiatives and enhance library services through technology. Reporting to the Manager, Innovation and Learning, the Creative Technology Coordinator's primary responsibility is to lead the efficient planning and operation of the Library's digital creation spaces (i.e. StoryLab and the growth and extension of its services, as well as potential Makerspaces). In addition to providing leadership in advancing digital literacy and creative technology initiatives; ensures alignment with the Library's strategic vision; guides system-wide initiatives related to emerging technologies, staff capacity building and service innovation.

Graduation from University in a relevant discipline, successful completion of MLS/MLIS from an accredited library school; completion of courses in information sciences, plus considerable related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

The hourly pay rate for this unionized position starts at $42.45 (2024 rates), based on a 35-hour workweek, plus a generous benefits package. This work requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekend shifts.
